Focus
There are too much noise out there about the Internet Marketing and the newbies always get excited with all the secrets or strategies they inspired. They keep trying and switching to another new strategy, course or guru when they found the one they are practising is not working as expected within a short period of few months time. They always distracted with the next big secret. This leads to always being a new learner and never achieve the desired results or being too far away for success.
Focus on one direction or course and do what you got to do to make it happen! First, to clear the mind of all distractions and think about what you really want. Once it is determined, focus on it until you make it happen!
Action
You could have the best plan and strategy but would never get anywhere if you never ever decide to action on it!
Starting is the hardest part. You might feel that you need to know everything before you start towards your goal to make it perfect. Don’t fall into this trap of perfectionism and take it as an excuse to procrastinate your action. Once you started taking the action needed, results and success would start showing themselves. If you wait till you know everything, you will never start. Period.
Start it NOW! Start to do your research, undertake the chosen course, to implement the new skill learnt and master it while learning and working on it. Only with all the action taken, you will see your idea, plan and strategy turn into reality.
Commitment & Consistency
If knowledge and skills are the vehicle which to bring you to your destination, then the fuel to drive that powerful vehicle would be your commitment and consistency.
The presence of commitment and consistency is important and required when learning a brand new skill to start a new business. Inconsistency will only make you forever to start over again and never achieve the desired result. For example, someone who participate in a weight loss program must be committed to the dietary plan and exercises consistently until the desired result is achieved. Doing best for one day a week isn’t really going to make it work.
However, if the result doesn’t come as you expect it to, don’t give up. Keep going to analyze how and why things didn’t work out as planned. Keep working at it by putting in effort in a consistent manner to make it right until it meets your desired result. Be consistent!
Education
The newbies must realize that some new skill need to be learnt. We must first to understand what we are doing in order to achieve the desired results.
If you attempted to take a test without first studying, chances are you would fail. Yet every single day on the Internet, thousands of newbies are performing the equivalent of the aforementioned test analogy, by putting up a website without having the slightest idea on how to promote it. And guess what happens – most of them fail.
Bear in mind that Internet Marketing is a business. Starting a business is like building a house which need to create a strong foundation first before could build on it. In business, being knowledgeable about basic fundamentals is your strong foundation. So, don’t keep looking for shortcuts as education is an important foundation towards the route of success.
